    Arrow Greetings from Japan

    Hi there!

My name is Russ Ebert and I live in Kuwana city, Mie prefecture, Japan. I am originally from Oregon, but sometime during the turn of the century I thought it would be fun to re-locate here (actually, rumor has it that my then-girlfriend-now-wife tricked me. )

    Kempo 'n' stuff:
I study <Owari> Tenshin Koryu Kempo (one time known as Tenshin Shinto Ryu). It is a modern martial art "blended together" by Ueno Takashi. It has strong ties to several Koryu Bujutsu (Asayama Ichiden Ryu, Kukishin Ryu and a few others) and ultimately Shito Ryu Karate. The word Kempo is used loosely in this case (as I am sure as it is for many of you), as the art can be divided up into three sections: Dasho-hen (striking) Yawara-hen (aka Jujutsu) and Hishigi -hen (staves and whatnot).

So, being new to the forum I thought I would pop in and give salutations to my fellow "Kenshi."

    All the best

-Russ Ebert (I haven't set up my signature yet.... so bear with me!)
