I'm not real computer savvy, but I'll give it a try. I'm an "Old School Pasadena
Guy", I started in IsshinRyu in the 60's in Okinawa. After loosing many toenails and coming back to Pasadena CA I started in EPAK and have been involved for many years. I currently live in Minnesota have been actively teaching here for about 13 years. we have a good group in the Twin Cities.
I just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hello". My name is Jim Atherton.
I plan to visit the forum regularly. I'm not sure how this posting things work , but I'm truly a "white belt in computerese" . not in Kenpo

Greetings Sifu Jim,
I have several friends that trained in Isshinryu in Okinawa about that time. Master Harold Mitchum and Master Steve Armstrong come first to mind. We lost Steve Armstrong about 6 months ago. ( see the tribute section of KenpoTalk) There is a very strong Isshinryu group in the Northwest and We are all very close. The Isshinryu people and us work together a lot. My very close friend Don Wazielewski was promoted to 8 th degree and now is one of the heads of Isshinryu in the area. Also several others . Masters George Shin and Master Robert Edwards head other Orgs. Enough old home week.
We are glsd to have you on KenpoTalk and hope you enjoy kenpo.
I am Most Respectfully,
Sifuroy
