Greetings all!
Obviously I'm new to Kenpotalk...so wanted to drop a line to say hello.
My name is Craig, I'm in the Kansas City area, and have recently gone from Bushidokan Karate to Kenpo (IKCA). I'm working with a good friend of mine who is a BB in IKCA and is planning on using me as his 'certification case'. Good call...I've been certifiable for years!
I've got some prior background in kenpo/ju-jitsu from learning back as a teenager, and had started to get back into the MA when my youngest son took an interest in Bushidokan at a dojo near our home. I thoroughly enjoyed working and learning at that dojo, and had even began helping teach the basics to some of the special needs kids that attend there. But I've also wanted to get back into kenpo, and it's been a lot of fun in working with my youngest son (who is 18) to learn together!
Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Bill,
I'm working with Vincent Gamble. He's a BB in IKCA, and decided to teach my youngest and I after getting to know us in a local American/Bushidokan dojo where we met.
He'd explained to me the process to become a certified instructor in IKCA, and decided he'd like to use my son and I to work towards that goal. Which works out nice...he's actually a very patient and pleasant instructor, and definitely understands the "why" behind the "what". (one of the things I LOVE about Kenpo vs other arts I've been exposed to over the years).
My wife is from the Sanford/Fayetteville area in NC...if we go home on vacation anytime soon, I'd really love to try to stop by and meet you!
-Craig
