    Default Welcome to kenpomantx

    Hey everyone,

    I see that kenpomantx now has one post so I want to welcome him to KenpoTalk. I'm assuming that he just recently joined. I didn't check, but...

    Welcome Roman!

    Roman is one of my Kenpo Brothers in Brian Duffy's American Kenpo Federation. We have tested together for rank twice now by my count. He is way out in West Texas so I don't get to see him much. And neither does anyone else from what I know of West Texas.


    I don't know much about West Texas, I could be wrong.

    And Roman just got promoted to 2nd Brown along with his brother Monte on October 7, 2006 so congratulations to him for that as well!

    Thanks for the welcome everyone! Yeah, it's a little secluded out here in West Texas. Not a whole lot of Kenpo out here, mostly Korean-style arts. But we make do and can usually persuade some of the TKD and Tukong guys to do a little training with us. Doug, I hope it won't take me another 4 years before I test again! You'll be seeing more of me this year in Austin! Hope we can do some training sessions together. By the way, don't let him fool you... Doug hits hard!

    Roman, welcome. Not a lot of Kenpo in E. WA either, but I make do too- so I really have respect for those who stay with it despite the odds. Right now I'm finding that a lot of people on thesae forums have overcome a variety of bad situations to stay with it. Makes me apreciate the art more. Good to have you here.
