Default Any schools in Southern CA (orange county)

    Hello:

Does anyone know of any Tracy schools in Orange County, CA? I found Bob Whites Kenpo in Costa Mesa which is 10 minutes away, however, I really wanted to check out a Tracy school.

    Thanks

Ask Ted Sumner at the San Jose Kenpo forum (see below). Or you can go to the Tracy Kenpo site where I believe they have a listing for all the schools.

Bob White is a great teacher and an amazing fighter. You might consider checking out his school. He's an excellent martial artist, their students are very friendly and their teaching team is very competent.

    At least those I've met.

Call Bob Leonard (9th dan, Tracy's Kenpo) at (714) 366-1030. He teaches throughout Orange County.

    Ronin,

I saw that name on the Tracy site. I got the impression (dont know why, guess I just assumed) that he was an instructor but didnt have a studio. Can you clarify?

Looking for group and sparring in addition to the private lessons.

don't know about so-cal....but look up Robert Yard in Vacaville just above San Fran. He runs a set of schools between vallejo, vacaville, fairfield and Davis. He and his crew are top notch kenpoists, and are re-defining the groundfighting aspect of our kenpo-jujitsu. Look up:
    Ian Barney: Vacaville
    Chester Hobbs: Davis
    Mr. Jones : Vacaville
Jeremy Morris and "Mr. James aka the next Thunerbolt": Vallejo
There are many more great instructors in these 4 areas, and I promise from first hand experience: these guys under Mr. Yard are awesome martial artists' and great guys to boot! No one knows kenpo ju-jitsu better on the west coast than these guys!
