I really don't recognize anyone other than Al Tracy, Jim Tracy, and Steve Finn. I'm hoping for some help on the names. Some have partial names in the name of the picture, so I know a few.

Mike is the fellow that had his studio "shot-gunned" on 82nd Ave. and had to finally close up shop.

    Interesting times.

None of them are in Kenpo Karate any longer, far as I know. That photo was taken back in 73.

Okay...you can't just leave us hanging like that. "Shot-gunned?" WTF!?

Mike was NOT a kenpo man but a business man that bought a kenpo franchise and then learned a sales pitch. As far as I was told by others, he was in it for the money and only the money. And there is nothing wrong with that, if you give the services you promise.

One of his clients did NOT think that he was getting what he was paying for so he quit coming, and quit paying.

I guess Mike had many of those types because he was his type. Something like the Law of Attraction.

Anyway, Mike's procedure was to send all contracts NOT paid on, to a collection agency.

Mike would dirty someone's credit right off the bat, instead of working a deal that was favorable to both parties.

He did anger a bunch of fellows.

    He didn't care.

So his studio windows were shotgunned.

    He fixed them.

A few weeks later, they were shotgunned again.

    He fixed them.

A few weeks later, they were shotgunned again.

All his students feared going into the school.

All of his students stopped coming.

He had to close up shop.

He did attempt to open another business in Boise, under a friend.

His friend looked and talked like Elmer Fudd.

He closed up shop again in about 5 months.

They never did find out who did it.

Actually there was a moral to the story, especially for those that are in the martial arts business end.

I've many of that type of story, and the lessons learned from those types of encounters.
