Is anyone here planning to attend Master Arquilla's seminar this month?

    Hi.

Where is the seminar taking place?

Master Arquilla used to be my instructor back when everyone called him Ray.

I would love to go to one of his seminars. I didn't know he was giving them.

Well, it was back on March 12 and 13. He plans to do them yearly from what I heard.

When did you train with him?

I trained with him about 20-21 years ago. I was there when I was just 17 until I was almost 19.

I came across a picture of him on the net awhile ago. The last time I saw him was about 10 years ago at a tounament. Still the same old Ray.

I hear he still trains exactly the same way.

I visited a Tracy school recently and the owner, Bob Langley, trains with Master Arquilla and reminds me a lot of him. He said Ray trains just the same and looking at Bob Langley move, I would say he still trains people the same way.

I learned all my best basics from that man. And even better, I learned how to teach the basics from him.

It doesn't do any good to learn what you can't pass on.

I met Master Arquilla in 1999 at the Gathering of Eagles. He impressed me then. Earlier this year, he appeared to be about 10 years younger (putting my photos of him side by side really shows it). It is very obvious that he trains diligently, leads by example, and expects the same from his students.

The depth of his knowledge seems endless, and he is able to move from topic to topic with ease. He can, and most of his students can, perform an imppomptu demonstration of a wide variety of movements to validate the theory being discussed.

    It was a great seminar.

I have some pictures of him on my site, as well as a link to his site.
