    Default A request

We have an amazing forum on this site called the American Kenpo Insights Forum, and it would be even better if we could get more contributors in there. I am asking all of our American Kenpo members to please ask the head of their respective associations to please join the site and become a contributor. If you are uncomfortable with asking them please PM me their email address and I will send them an official invitation.

I thank everyone for their assistance with this.

I'm noticing that I'm having trouble thinking of what kinds of questions we're allowed to ask in there.

Personal questions about their training or take on the art or what?

I think the idea is to ask the question, and if it is deemed appropriate the global moderator looking after the area will take the appropriate action.

I posted twice in that section. Neither post was approved I guess as I did not see them posted. Therefore, I only read the sections when there are new posts added.

See? So it's not just me. I think we might need a little modification about what we can ask because hardly anyone is asking anything.

    It's a bit vague.

Might also be a technical issue. All posts in there are showing to me as approved, even though I know there are some that aren't. I'll look into that particular issue this week.

Here is one of your posts that was approved. A Question for Mike Lambert - Glancing Wing

They don't show up in the New Post section because they have been approved at a later time.

The rules are posted fo that forum. It is a place to ask questions about a seniors philosphies, training history, views on topics etc... we have enough places on this site to ask technical questions about forms, set and techniques.

The forum is designed to gain great insight into that contributor, and the ways they view Kenpo and other arts. If there is a great call on wanting to discuss techniques there could always be a technical sub-forum added in there, but as stated earlier there is already a Technical forum, and all the lineage forums and the techniques of the month forum.

The simplest way of looking at that forum is You ask a question and wait for the contributor to answer. No one else should be posting until the contributor answers. The next post in that thread should be another question from you or someone else as follow up to the answer the contributor gave. The American Kenpo Insights forum is not a forum for idle banter, we have the rest of KenpoTalk for that.
