Here's to you Bob for putting so much effort in to giving us kem/npoists our own sandbox. Without you and the great staff you put together this site would have failed.
2006 What a Year!
We started 2006 out with less than 10,000 posts.
We're gonna pass 40,000 by year end, most likely within a few hours of my posting this.
Thats 40,000 posts in just under 2 years time.
30,000 posts in 1 year.
The only site online with more Kenpo posts is MartialTalk at just under 74,000 and it took MT almost 6 years to do it in.
Hmm?
Back in February I wrote these stats down:
MartialTalk: 2,718 Topics and 64,659 posts in Kenpo
KenpoTalk: 1,374 Topics and 12,508 Posts total.
Today, the numbers look like this:
MartialTalk: 3,242 Topics and 73,840 posts in Kenpo
KenpoTalk: 3,498 Topics and 39,945 Posts total.
Please note that the number of topics is greater here than at MT, and at this pace, by this time next year the number of kenpo related posts will be also.
We're the leading Kenpo discussion site online, bar none, and it's all been thanks to you.
I want to echo what I said almost a year ago here (http://kenpotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1438)
Many said we would fail.
The many here made us a success.
As 2006 wraps up, as the various holiday celebrations take place, I on behalf of all of us here at KenpoTalk want to wish you and yours a Happy Holiday, a Merry Christmas, a Cool Yule, and so much more! Thank you.

Thank you to all the members and staff for making this a great year at KenpoTalk.
Quality outweighs quantity every time.
Thanks again Bob for having this site. I have been active for just about a year (I joined six months before that and didn't really post) and I have learned so much and made a bunch of great friends.
I come to the forum almost every day to say hello to friends and see what sort of kenpo things need talking about.
Thanks for making that possible.

Well we just hit our 40 000th post and which is 2000 posts past our year end goal of 38 000 posts, and we still have 8 days left in the year. While I do not see us hitting 41 000 by year end because of the holidays we did have a terrific year.
And if you think 2006 was a great year on this site wait til you see what is in store for you in 2007.
Quality outweighs quantity every time.
Thanks to Bob and the Kenpotalk Staff. What's a hoopy frood![]()

In the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams, hoopy is defined as "a really together guy."
A frood is defined as "a really amazingly together guy."
An example from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy which discusses the importance of towels is as follows:
"Hey you, sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is!"

I am grateful for this forum. I've learned quite a bit. I really like the fact that we're about learning here, and not about the drama of other sites.
Awesome stats! Kudos to all everyone! Thank you to all my fellow members for the insight and knowledge shared.
