Default Naming the New Area Contest

It is now time for the second half of our contest with naming the new area. The staff has voted on all the suggestions and we have narrowed the field down to 7 choices. The most popular suugestion will win a 6 month supporting membership.

We would like to thank everyone who made a submission into the contest.

Please remeber that the new area will be a forum where the members get to ask questions of Notables in the American Kenpo World, such as Dennis Conatser, Doc Chapel, Sean Kelley, Doreen Cogliandro, and more as we grow.

Are those people on here? Are there plans for other kenpo seniors to come on the board?

Doc posts here fairly often and I do believe Mr. Conatser has visited in the past.

I don't know if Mike Lambert is considered a senior or not, but he does have a 9th degree and he really knows his stuff.

I don't know who all is considered a senior. If it's by rank or by who you're associated with or what.

We're all waiting for the last minute so our vote will count for more. You know, pick the one we want out of the two leading vote getters.

Either that, or we might be a little ambivalant towards the entries, maybe..., not really sure...

And you will post the results from the first poll and from this poll, then we could make the final decision?

I still like "The Dragon's Den".

I compiled a list of all the submissions and posted them behind the scenes. The staff then each picked 5 submissons. The top nimnations were then posted here for the general membership to vote on. Unfortunately Dragon's Den did not get enough votes to make it this far.

My vote is being held back until the 30th, in the event there is a tie that needs to be broken. Everyone else, please, do vote early though.

Yeah, I was surprised that didn't make the list.

So than the final decision will be made the 30th? How many seniors are signed up so far?

Yeah, I liked "The Dragons Den", too. But, they are all good names and I like all of the top five too. Hope more people get their votes in soon. We just might need a tie breaker. Seems pretty close at this point.

Yup. Seems like most folks so far favor the "Insights" angle.

That is mainly what the new area is all about. It will be a place for members to ask the seniors and notables questions on their perspective, or advice on a matter in the American Kenpo System, and none of the regular members will be allowed to answer it only those with the special designation as a contributor of the forum will be allowed to answer.
