This post here is number 10 000 for KenpoTalk. We also hit 1000 threads this past week. That is pretty impressive for a site that is a little less than a year old. Congratulations and thank you to all our members.

You guys can make it happen! Let's give the other boards a run for their money and make KenpoTalk a world wide phenomena!
Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.

There are several major mile stones for a board:

    100 members
    1000 posts
    1000 threads
    10 000 posts
    500 members
    50 000 posts
    1000 members
    100 000 posts
    500 000 posts
    1 000 000 posts

We have 4 out of those 10 in less than a year. The next two miles stones are major hurdles, but if every member went out and brought in one more person we would pass the 500 member mark very quickly.

Again congratulations and thank you to all the members.

We are rapidly approaching our 30 000th post which I feel is pretty impressive for a site that is less that 2 yrs old.
Our year end goal is 38 000 posts. Will we make it? It looks like it, but it all depends on you the members.

I think that is a very doable number.

    Currently, we're at 28,695

So far this year, heres the post counts per month, including September to date:
    January 2006 2,466
    February 2006 4,462
    March 2006 2,221
    April 2006 2,121
    May 2006 2,504
    June 2006 2,040
    July 2006 1,184
    August 2006 1,160
    September 2006 1,914 (final estimate 2,800)

We should hit, or be close to 30,000 at the end of the month. Hitting 38,000 by years end is a little bit of a stretch, but, if everyone invites a few people to the party, we can probably crush that number.

In 2005, we did a total of 8,612 posts.
So far in 2006, we've done 20,131, and we still have 3 more months to go!

For a site that people said wasn't needed, was redundant, wouldn't last 6 months, I think KT is doing fine. Better than fine in fact!

The sucess of KT is in no small part the product of the hard work and hours that Bob and the rest of the staff have put in. If it werent for them this site wouldnt be half as great as it is today. Also the dedicated members that have kept the conversations going give this site a unique life of its own that is no way redundant. The maturity level shown by the members of this site is something to be proud of.

Three cheers for the staff and members for making this place what it is.

    Here! Here! I second that!!

Excellent moderation keeps the trolls and flamers away so the rest of us can intelligently discuss Kenpo concepts. Thanks ya'll!

Thumbs up Re: 10 000 posts

Thanks to all the people that make this site work! The biggest reason I like this forum is, as stated, above the maturity level of the members.
