well... as long as your school is teaching all 154 techniques.. it shouldent matter if you buy videos with the 24 tech system on them infact it would probably be better as most kenpo schools with the 16 system have the tech's in different orders...as long as you have all 154 on video for review the oder does not matter much... but if you would like to look.. mike lamberts videos have i believe 15 or 16 tech's per belt as do joe palanzo's... im sure there are others but they are off the top of my head if you go to mike lambert's sity i believe it is www.baltimorekenpo.com not sure but it has a list of what is on each video... hope that helps you...

It is much more convenient for review purposes if the tapes you have follow the order of what you are doing. You might want to contact Mr. Duffy regarding videos.

Is anyone out there using Mr. Duffy's children's curriculum? It appears to be well laid out.

my school also does the 16 per belt system but i had done the 24/per too but most of the videos i fond are of the 24/per.. and the ones that are 16/per are in different order... so i have found it eaasy to go with the 24/per videos... either way videos are a great review...

Instead of 16, I've decided 18 is the number for me. 18x8=144.

I did several years ago. I now have only young adults( pree-teen and teens) and adults. They are all on the adult 24 tech system. Mr. Duffy has done a lot. Mr. Sasha Williams also has some great material for children.

Would you be willing to share which techniques and in what order. I am very interested in what you are doing.

I'm doing the techs in the order listed in Infinite Insights, just doing 18 per Orange through 1st black.

For my youth program, I'm doing 10 techs, yellow through 2nd brown (all with a white stripe running the length of the belt). For 1st brown, they will do 12 techs...that will get them to half of the 144. They will graduate to the adult program upon age 13 (or completing 1st brown of the youth program), they will assume the accumulated rank of the adult program.

For the very young (5 - 7 school aged) I put together two ranks before yellow to help prepare them to learn yellow.

Time will tell how well it works.

On paper this approach sounds promising. Please give us updates on how it works.
