I have at least two lineages, but they all lead back to the same person:

    Ed Parker> Steve LaBounty & Tom Kelly> Gary Swan> Brian Duffy> Me*
    Ed Parker> Brian Duffy> Me*

    and

    Ed Parker> Tommy Burks> Michael Billings> Me

*wasn't sure which one to post, so I listed both of them

Ed Parker > Terry Arnell > Paul Mills* > Larry Kongaika (This is my lineage for Yellow Belt thru Green Belt.)

Ed Parker > Larry Tatum > Bryan Hawkins* (This is my lineage for 3rd Degree Brown Belt.)

Ed Parker > Frank Trejo (This is my lineage for 2nd Degree Brown Belt.)

Please Note: Instructors with an asterisk* following their name are black belts that changed from second or third generation status to first generation status under Mr. Parker.

I also feel that it's important to state that I currently train under Mr. Hawkins at his studio in West Los Angeles.

    I have two lineages.

when I was ten I trained under Mathusula David (Sterling Peacock) for two months. He was a a second generation (I believe) under Mr. Parker.

My actual lineage is Mr. Parker, Skip*, Me

Mine could be considered convoluted depending on how you look at it.
Mr. Conatser was originally under Mr. Lonny Coots back in 1976 to 1st degree black.
    So my lineage could be
    Parker > Tracy> LaBounty > Swan > Coots > Conatser > Me
But then he went to train directly under Mr. Swan, being promoted to 2nd, so it could be
    Parker > Tracy> LaBounty > Swan > Conatser > Me
and let's not forget that Mr. LaBounty reverted to 1st generation Parker which changes it further to
    Parker > LaBounty > Swan > Conatser > Me
Then Mr. Conatser began training directly under Mr. LaBounty until he was given the opportunity to become a direct student of Mr. Parker's
    Parker > LaBounty > Conatser > Me
After studying with Mr. Parker, Mr. Conatser was promoted to third in 1981 making him a 1st generation Parker, thus changing my lineage yet again to
    Parker > Conatser > Me

    To sum it all up
I am a first generation Conatser
I am a second generation LaBounty
I am a second generation Parker
I am a third generation Tracy (my original Kenpo BB was as a Tracyist)
Just because you do something one way, does not mean that everyone else does it that way, or that it is even the correct way.
