    Question Mr.Jerry Poteet/EPAK BLK BLT?

I was just skimming a Blk.Blt. magazine from apprx. 2004, and read a article about JKD, featuring Mr.Poteet. I was pretty surprised to read that he had been one of, "Mr.Parker Sr.'s top blk.blts.", back in 1964. Is this true? I really don't know the man, or his skills, only what I have read. I just thought it was interesting to note...

Hmm, interesting. It would not surprise me if Mr. Poteet studied with Mr. Parker, but "top black belts"?? Although there are lots who make that claim...I know Vic Leroux studied under Mr. Poteet for a while; has anyone asked him about the association? I'll try to remember to ask about it next time I talk to him...

From what I was told (by one of my black belts & and Poteet student) Mr. Poteet was a Bruce Lee student.

But it may be possible that he was one of the ones that left Mr. Parker and went with Mr. Lee.

    Al Tracy would know.

    Mr.L.
Yes Sir that appeared to be what they were saying in the article. Mr.Poteet went from Mr.Sr. to Mr.Lee. I was surprised to learn that the late Mr.Hartsell was a blk Blt of Mr.Parker's too. Thanks for the response.

I'll try to ask GM Le Roux next time I talk to him. Mr. Poteet was Mr. Le Roux's JKD sifu.
