    Default Game: EPAK Trivia

    Forum games don't normally belong here, thats the chat area. This one came to me, and seemed to fit, so I'm making the exception.

    Rules are simple.

    A trivia question relating to EPAK history is posted.
    Guesses can be submitted until someone gets it right, or 24 hours have passed without a correct answer, at which time the answer is given, and a new question can be posted.

    If the correct answer is posted, the answerer can post the next question.

    Please keep the trivia light hearted and friendly. No "dirty secrets" or "Mud" please.

    ========

    First Question:
    Where was Mr. Parker Born?

    Mr. Parker was born in Hawaii. Did you want the town?

    What was his middle name?

    Well, it seems to be a debatable fact, but from what I gather, I believe it was Charles Beeder.

    So, when was the IKKA established?

    Good! Another slightly debatable fact, but it was most likely early 1964...Your question?

    This was a great thread with a fun game. It is time to resurrect it.

    Here is a quote from an instructor "Don't be goin out to the north forty when you are supposed to be workin in the south forty" Who uses that sentence or something very close to it on a regular basis in their seminars?

    It may be debated, but it is not debateable according to Ed Parker Sr. Unquestionably according to the man himself, "Charles Beeder was the first person I promoted to black belt." as he told it to me. AL Tracy in a business association/alliance with James Ibrao promoted him as Ed Parker's first, however this is not true. It was also addressed in Mrs. Parker book as well. No debate, fact.

    Not another debate. No It was 1964, and I was there when he turned over the old AKKA essentially to the Tracy's and others. This is when he dropped all Japanese Traditions and switched from "dan" ranks to "degrees." I mention it only because some promoted the dan ranks as being better than degree ranks.

    No sir Rich Montgonery, and Rick Flores came after Ibrao, and both left to train with Jimmy Woo.
