One of my guys sent this to me, and asked me "when I became a Sgt." Only about thirty years ago, I said. But the article reminded me of some law enforcment techniques I developed, and will be soon sharing under the banner of "Cop Stuff™ for "Custody, Combat, Control Options Program" Stuff.

It's funny to me that the article right above yours is titled "Reality and the Martial Arts: Can you defend yourself in the real world?" The more things change.

Why is the young man smiling when he is poked in the sternum with the PR 24? LOL!!
Thanks Mr. Peabody for the trip back in time!
P.S. The Dragon posture on the Ninjitsu article looked excellent.

You know that's the first impression everyone had when they saw it. Truth is he was grimacing in pain as I really poked him, but it does look a bit like he was smiling. That young man Started with me when he was in the 10th grade in high school, and is now one of my black belts, got the crap kicked out him when Mr. Parker initiated him to the rank, and is a L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy. Seems I've turned a great deal of my students over the years into badge carriers. I wonder if it's something I said.

I took it more as a "Hey! watch it with that thing! That hurts!".

The SL4-Tactical Section is growing stronger and better everyday as the outreach students come in and polish their understanding. From "Tactical to Practical" we move forward and expand. They're finding that although the info seems rather simple, when I open up the "book" on the material, it is more versatile complex and effective than it appears on its face. Dominic Jones, and a contingent from Ireland with Vivion Spain are in town now. Look forward to seeing you too sir.

    Doc,
It's good to hear that things are cooking with you.

Is all Ninjitsu training BS? It depends! LOL!!
It depends on who is doing the training. I met a guy who would not be detered by a pumped up knucklehead. He also does Systema really well. His name is Ed Glimme. His dojo is in La Cross,Wisconsin.

You know I hadn't thought about it but you're right about the names. Vivion is about 6'2" close to 300, and Dominic is 6'4". Both of these men do have some rather disarming names.

Ha! actually sir, I wasn't referring to these gentlemen. I was quoting Master Ken in response to Nelson's further comment about ninjas.
