Default American Kenpo TV - Seminar - Introduction to American Kenpo

This is a Seminar for the American Kenpo Legacy Association. We ask for a 5$ donation for viewing, but it is not necessary. Please feel free to share, learn, and use in your own Kenpo walk. This was interactive, and participants asked questions via the LiveStream message board. While this Seminar targeted beginners, it had sections for the teachers.

Enjoy learning the Ed Parker 24-technique system of American Kenpo Karate out of the privacy of your own home or office. The American Kenpo Legacy Association, an innovative leader in the home study of the Martial Arts, has created this unique experience that everyone can enjoy.

On the subject of the Outer Rim Concept as it relates to sweeps and weapons (in the top video toward the end)... The Outer Rim is for Defensive economy of motion while the Outer Perimeter Concept is for Offensive economy of motion, which does apply to sweeps and weapons. The overall idea of both concepts is that over extending yourself or wasting time and energy can leave you vulnerable and telegraphs your intention. It is a common misconception.

Perhaps I am a bit of a cynic... but ... Learn Kenpo from the comfort of your home with our easy to understand videos.. is a bit like...

Be a cardiac surgeon in 3 easy steps...
or.. Bob's quick lessons in lion taming...
or.. Dick and Jane's how to defuse a IED with a magnifying glass.

    Just an observation...

"Do you have any bactine? Some of this blood is mine."

"Dear Die-ary, today I stuffed some dolls full of dead rats I put in the blender. I'm wondering if, maybe, there really is something wrong with me."

Agreed...videos are however, a great way to compliment the student's curiculum; provided it is approved by the instructor.

I strongly suggest not using a magnifying glass; a .50 cal round works much better...
