I redirected the main site schools link to here, so I expect Google and Yahoo to index this section well.

Feel free to make your listings as complete as you'd like, though I'd advise against listing prices, or hours.

Be sure to include a link back to your website if you have one.

Also, when you have special events or seminars, in addition to posting them on the calendar and events section, feel free to post them there too, to keep everyone updated on what you're doing.

    Thanks Bob ...

I have sort of taken control of my instructors web site recently. Every little bit helps. Figuring out how to optimize for the search engines has been an interesting endeavor.

I was a bit surprised to see that there were about 25 referrals from 'kenpotalk' to 'hudsonkenpo' over the past four years. Hopefully, that number will go up with this forum. I did add a link TO kenpotalk on our site, but I'm certain our traffic is much lower than yours.

Its a mutually benefitial thing. Short version is, because KT ranks higher, each link to you from us gives you a boost, but gives us a minor ding due to the linking to a lower ranked site. The link from you to us somewhat negates that ding, plus as more sites link to us, it boosts us higher. At least until the next time Google shakes up their formula, which happens quarterly, LOL!

I look at it simplier. The more people who link to you, the better.

Some things you can do to help use KT to pick up traffic:
    - Include the link in your signature.
    - Make sure anything school related has a link from here to there.
    - Link back to KT (I have buttons and banners for those who want them)
    - Post your events even if they are 'small'.
    - Submit an occasional article to the ezine. I pull these and am cross posting them on MT and on my blogs as guest pieces.
