    Default Larry Tatum????

Talking with a friend yesterday. He indicated that he thought that Larry had to close his school. True or just someone wishfully thinking?

I read something about that on another forum, the truth behind the rumor was that he moved to a bigger location. So technically he did close that location, but really the opposite of what the rumor implies is true!

Of course what I read my just be more rumors. Call him!

Agreed... call him or shoot him an email. He has always replied to any of my questions.

Larry Tatum closed his school abrubtly. Working out of a 2nd floor studio in pasadena, handling only privates. Not bigger, its secluded and no advertisement for such.

That's not the best sign in the world,I would think...Larry Tatum's name rings out in Kenpo circles. If he's running up on bad financial times? That's sad! I don't agree with much of what I see advertised as his teachings,as they smack of the usual stomach wrenching nausea inducing nonfunctional crap that I see advertised as Kenpo, like this Larry Tatum video:

But I don't wish the man any financial strains and difficulties...

Those are video clips from the old Panther video series "When Kenpo Strikes". When they were first bought out by Century and they started to sell them, I was able to get the whole series on dvd for $6.99 each. They are charging $16.99 now and Larry's website sells them for even more.

As an aside the man in the blue gi at the 37 second mark is Clyde of kenpo-infamy.

I got mine from Century for the $6.99, but I think they raised their prices. Every once in awhile they run sales for cheaper (like $9.99 or so).

Just thought I would point it out since many people have heard of Clyde. Now they have a face to a name.

I know... Even Doc likes him now, and a number of year ago that wouldn't fly, at all. S'Okay... To each his own for whatever reason, but Clyde's still a major goober as far as I'm concerned.

Twin... You don't have to be "not honest" to be good, useful, popular, etc. etc. Heaven knows there's a lot of "Con" going on in Kenpo... Goober is just a goober.

I recently moved to Pasadena and was looking for schools. In my search I ran into a couple of closed Larry Tatum locations. But I found his new one, so thought I'd update this thread. It's too far away for me so I can't give you any feedback on it, but if anyone is still looking... as of Jan 13, 2014 it's now in Sierra Madre.

Just curious where you decided to train. There are several good EPAK schools in Pasadena.
