Default Re: SGM Parker Notes on TECHNIQUES (DIRECTIONAL)

Developing my own categorical breakdown of my Kenpo curriculum by attack and relative body position of the defender was one of the most helpful exercises for me in discovering relationships within the system. Even though this kind of charting can be nothing more than "busy work," if substituted for actual hands-on time with the material, it has tremendous value in helping students understand that the techniques in EPAK are more than just steps to the next colored belt. Mr. Parker developed a logical and progressive approach to studying motion as it relates to self-defense applications. The man truly was a genius.
