Anybody order things from these guys?

On December 6, 2007, I placed an order on the karateconnection website. I almost immediately received an email confirmation that the order was received. The electronic payment has not yet reached my checking account.

I have heard nothing. No indication the product was shipped. Nothing in the mail.

I have twice sent emails inquiring, and have received zero responses.

What's up with these guys? Are they just a black hole in the interent, or what?

Any ideas ... can somebody go bang on their door for me?

They are usually very good about getting orders out or communicating delays. I would give Vic a call tomorrow. He will straighten things out quickly. Any time I have called Vic has answered and is willing to answer any question I have had. I once heard of an similar incident, (possibly on this board) and the person got a personal call back from Chuck, with an apology, and had the material within a couple of days.

I've heard that normally they have excellent customer service, so it's likely a holiday thing or something like that.

I'm sure a phone call will straighten it out.

I'd like to "second" the comments made by the other people. At least from my experience, the Karate Connection is definitely NOT a hole in the internet. When I ordered their videos, I had some problems with the sound on one of the videos. They sent me out a replacement. That one had sound problems too. They immediately sent me out another replacement. I'm quite certain that if you'll give them a call, they will take care of your problem.

If you don't mind my saying so, I'd like to recommend that you call in a friendly, non-confrontational, state of mind. I used to work in customer service. People would sometimes call me with problems. When they called with a confrontational attitude, I still tried to help them the best I could. It was not nearly as pleasant an experience, though, as I had when people called me with non-confrontational attitudes. The calls with the friendlier people almost always seemed to go smoother and quicker too. I hope you don't mind my mentioning this - it is probably easy for all of us to become somewhat confrontational when we have problems getting what we ordered.

I know Vic had a few computer issues in late Nov - haven't talked to him since then tho so I'm not sure if he got them sorted out yet or not. That reminds me...I should call him up haha.
