You may need to provide a little more information before anyone can help you locate a school.

Myslef I'm in So. Cal., but wouldn't travel to San Diego for class because even though it's still So. Cal., it's also a hundred and sixty mile drive from where I live in Westlake Village.

Maybe if you suggested an area you are looking in, or where you live and how far you are willing to travel.

It also depends on how bad you want specific training.

I used to drive 80 miles from Ojai to Santa Monica, and back, to go to class - and considered it a walk in the park for what I got in return.

On the other hand I knew a guy who quit going to karate because he moved a big 10 miles away from his school.

Many people still consider So. CA to be the mecca of martial arts, so I'm sure there are many people looking for a school in the midwest that would love to have your problem.

    Good luck in your search.

I live in San Diego (Sierra Mesa area). Here's a link I found by googling. http://www.karateconnection.com/Tournament%20News.htm. It talks about the IKCA and San Diego.

No sure where exactly in SoCal you're talking about. Where are located? I know of numerous schools, depending on where you are. Why don't you contact IKCA HQ (located in SoCal) at 714-229-0372. Talk to Mr. LeRoux and I'm sure he can hook you up with somebody close.

So Cal is a huge area. There are more Kenpo scholls there than any place I know. Be more specific of area.

Headquarters is in the OC so that's probably your best bet. Offhand I know of Master Armando Deloa's school in Bellflower - John Barnett in Torrance teaches privately, so does Chris Georgas. Bill Hayes and Jennifer Hollenbeck run Old School Kenpo in the Torrance area too. Also - Master Robert Temple teaches in the OC somewhere too, can't remember where. GM Vic should be able to point you in the right direction anywho.

He is in the Kenpo Heartland. There are many good schools in that area.

    Best of luck to him
