This is a "shout out" to all our IKCA brothers and sisters! Let us know you're here! If you've studied or are studying the IKCA curriculum let us know by posting here. Thanks!

    Hi,

Just want you to know that we are studying the IKCA curriculum here in Fort Worth, TX. We have been to a couple of seminars in Las Vegas, Kansas, and Texas. We have met SGM Sullivan and GM LeRoux and they are very good people. We are new to the art (just over a year) and have enjoyed meeting other martial artists. We are studying under Travis Ford.

Its great to see an IKCA forum here. I've been an IKCA member for about a year. I'm sure there are many good Kenpo organizations out there, but IKCA is by far the best that I've ever been associated with. And the IKCA curriculum and teaching methods are extremely effective, especially for us "older" students (Like SpeedHitter, I too began EPAK when the Green Hornet was on TV).

    Where is Joey Cadena?

He used to have small clubs in and around Corpus Christi, TX, Kingsville.

I know he moved to Edinburg, TX, but all his clubs have disapeared.

    Anyone know?

I think one of Joey's students is still teaching, I'll see if I can figure out who and where.

My wife Sandra and I are IKCA 4th degree black belts from Edinburg, TX. We have owned IKCA affiliate schools throughout South Texas since 1995. I am now active after a two year hiatus while I finished Physical Therapy school. We are now teaching a new group of students with one of our black belts, Raudel Villarreal. We look forward to reconnecting with our Kenpo family.

Steve, thanks for the warm welcome!! It was really nice to see that members of the forum were asking about me during my hiatus. Between Physical Therapy school and some very unfortunate occurances with our studios while I was away, it is good to be back and active in the Art. Drop by our website when you get a chance. I would love to hear your input with some of the material I am putting on the "insights" link on our page.

    Hi Mr. AC Wiley,

I have a IKCA Member School. It's a small group that gets together now, I'm located about 1 hr. 35 minutes from you now...However, I am looking at starting another program in two weeks at a location that would be about 1hr 15 minutes away from you.
Anyway, I would do what I could to Help!
    Let me know.
BTW, I remember your name, prior to you moving to NY. Hope all is working out with the transition!

Dan! What's up my brudda'! Glad to see you posted here.

Y'all, Dan's an awesome all-around martial artist. I've had the rare pleasure of working out with him a few times and he can whup you standing up or on the ground.

Mr. Modesty here is teaching a class on ground escapes at KIC III if there's any way you can make it to Raleigh on 4/19.

Anyway, welcome to KT! I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of the threads regarding ground fighting/grappling.

Thanks Rob for the greeting, have some good stuff planned for the seminar, few escapes, some controlling positions for striking(little ground & Pound) and possibly couple of submissions depending on time. Looking foward to seeing ya brother, take care-YBIK Dan
