    Default Sad, but true!!

Again- maybe not so humorous......but sadly true!!

    Is this true or what??????

Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same
complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip
    replacement.

The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day
and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

The second sees his family doctor after waiting a week for an
appointment... then waits another eighteen weeks to see a specialist...
then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month... and
finally has his surgery scheduled for a year from the date of the first
    visit.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

The first is a Golden Retriever.
The second is a Senior Citizen.

And I thought teh difference was the first person was an American and the second was a Canadian. We have free health care up here in Canada but the government has the process being so slow that you will probably die before you see the doctor. It saves us billions in health care costs.

    I hate:
    govt. subsidized health care
    insureance companies
    lawyers

The three main reasons healthcare costs so much here. The dog gets seen, xrayed, diagnosed and treated by the same person. Less costly, more efficient, a lot quicker and just as effective.

People get shuffled around the system until the insureance company is milked dry, and so the caregivers spread liability as thin as possible.

The worst part is, the dog probably needed the surgery. The old person might have been better off with physical therapy.

well teh only innate flaw in teh greatness of beer delivery is the fact that I really don't like beer... infact i barly drink at all.. but it's the fact that they have it...
