I know folks who would use this as a checklist

i think we oughta put in statements from insurance companies that are just as stupid. We've gotten some pretty good ones from State Farm regarding our car accident. Like they tell Bob all the tests to determine the extent of his injuries were unnessesary because he isn't injured. Despite the test results saying otheriwse.

Neither do we! Good thing they aren't *OUR* provider....also it seems their independant examiner is no longer inbusiness, as it seems his location is closed.

So, now you're plugging ratings systems over here- for insureance companies, no less! Have you no shame?

I do appreciate the cheat sheet, though. I'm running a hard copy to use with my next accident report & claim.

A.M. Best is the institution that rates Companys financial stability. For example, if there is a major catastrophe, would the company be able to pay out claims and still stay in the black.
Another one to look at is Standard and Poors...

You don't actually have to sign up to the groups individually. A company should have that info at hand when you get a quote. IF they don't know or don't want to tell you, go elsewhere.

Yeah...well the world of finance is a funny thing. Keep in mind the ratings go from A++, to A+, to A, to A-, to A-- and so forth. So.. really.. A- ain't that great. Especially for a corportation like GMAC.
